Around the World: Dino Saluzzi, Argentina

10 Jan

Around the World — to Argentina, home of Dino Saluzzi, renowned bandenon player (a keyboard instrument popular in Argentina and Uruguay, called a “poor man’s church organ”). Born in 1935 in Campos Santa, Argentina, his father and brothers and son were/are all musicians. Saluzzi’s music combines native folk, tango, jazz, etc. Said Saluzzi: “My music must not be too rational – it has to brim with innocence.”
